ff6 is overrated (def not best ff and/or rpg of all time) but is still one of the best 2D/snes-era RPGs of all time. When it came out, it created an atmosphere that no other game, RPG or otherwise, could even come close to. The music and cinematics alone were completely new to gaming, back in ;95 or whenever it was released
