The rubber on the left stick has come off completely, it has a crack on the plastic seurrounding the right trigger. I think the charger connector up top is sus because it disconnects and reconnects if you wiggle it much at all during charging.

So it's time for a new controller.

Yeah I wasn't sure about the Series controller.

I know I've heard generalized praise but haven't heard enough in general to know what I'd be getting myself into.

I had a Series 1 controller that I lost on deployment. My only complaint with it was it was a tad heavy compared to the Xbone controller. Not too heavy to use, just heavier.

I got the elite series 2, had it since launch with no issues.

Battery life is still 40plus hours and sticks are still tight I'm actually surprised how well it held up. So far lasted longer than my launch xbox controllers so far.

I like the Series controller. The bit of texture it has over the Xbone controller, the d-pad and the share button are all small but smart changes.

I like the Series controller but it's not a massive improvement. Just go for the best deal or the color design that you like.

The share button is dumb and should be able to be turned off.

But I dont mind it besides that.

Also the dpad is an improvement? Looks like it'd be more of a downgrade. Though admittedly I can't think of the last game I played that used anything beyond the 4 standard directions

Wait, why?

Because I keep accidentally hitting it and it keeps on taking dumb screenshots. I can see why some people like it, I just dont. I wish in the controller settings you could turn that button off.
