I think people are just plain getting tired of deconstructions, especially with such awful writing attached. What if I don't want to watch Captain Classicalheropants struggle to adapt to a modern society that doesn't worship him like they did in the '70s? I'd love to see a new Punisher movie, but unfortunately, the adaptation of the Punisher skull logo in some of the anti-police protests over the past couple of years will likely make that not possible. It's very obviously inspired by New Horizons and has a real-time clock, but so far has eliminated a lot of the more annoying aspects of NH. The store is open 24 hours and you can still sell to it even if it's being upgraded, you can craft multiple items at once (though you still need the materials in your pockets first), and decorating the island serves a practical purpose by making nearby plants, trees, and spirit animals give more product. There's a decent amount you can get done on the first day. While you can cheat by setting the system clock forward, apparently setting it backwards can break some stuff, so doing things the old-fashioned way seems safest. The gist is, you're some kind of scout (like, a classic camper kid scout) whose job is to help spirits resolve their issues so they can pass on. You've been assigned to a particular island, but due to some poor rope-tying skills, your boat drifts away, so you're stuck there. By helping out spirits, they give you this special ghost wood you can feed into your campfire to illuminate more of the island and reveal more spirits. I don't know what will happen when a spirit's story is completed, but I doubt they'll actually leave. Wish I could have one to myself, but my brother didn't come with me, so we didn't get two rooms while he goes out and does his own thing. We're at a Holiday Inn this time. The lamps don't have any USB ports, but they do have three-prong plugs. Good thing I brought adapters. Aside from visiting a more distant, elderly aunt and eating at Cracker Barrel, I'm not sure what we'll be doing for the weekend. I'd love to visit another place besides Pittsburgh some day. Mostly them talking with my mom and aunt, since I didn't really have much to say, which left me anxious and fidgety from boredom. Also think something was in the air, irritating my nose and eyes. Still, they're cool. I'm definitely jealous of what they've got. The dad is a supporter of board games and video games, while mine thinks they're a waste of time, and they've got a nice house and a stable marriage. The dad has a lovable, goofy personality, too.
