This... seems a bit petty. Your choice though.

Definitely not petty at all

IIRC he also had doubts that Illinois was in the Midwest since it was "east of Colorado". So that kind of gives you an idea of who you're responding to.

Yeah I don't normally remember who said what without a tag but that was fucking glaring so it stuck with me. He even doubled down once.

There's N95 classification for a reason. In particle tests you can see particles enter the sides of non-n95 masks.
Obviously N95s are best, but even a cloth mask will stop something either way. If you sneeze through both sides, some particles will be caught. Sneezing into your arm isn't as effective as sneezing into an N95, but we don't tell people you might as well sneeze into the air.

Because I haven't caught a cold since I started wearing a mask (over a year ago now), and it's fucking great.

The cdc is literally only saying this to trick the scumbags who haven't been masking up anyway into getting the vaccine. If it pushes even 3% more of the population into getting vaccinated it brings us that much closing to ending covid.

I got used to wearing my masks.

They annoyed me at first, but now its like putting on socks. The habit makes it feel odd without them now.

That analogy isn't anything like what I said and unnecessary.

Someone sneezing into your mask isn't as effective as them sneezing into their own mask.

But both are more effective than 2 people sneezing directly into each other's face.

Less effective is not the same as "masks have zero effectiveness in one direction"

Edit: I wasn't agreeing with post #11 if that's what you think.

Edit2: There's just a possibility that if mask use becomes rare again you'll have much less protection against cold and flus with mask usage.

I live in a small city in Western Australia. The virus has been mostly under control here for a long time. I personally have never needed to wear a mask, but I have a few ready for if/when I am required to wear one.

The vaccine rollout is also going very slowly. You can basically only get it currently if youre over 50.

But to answer the question, if I was fully vaccinated and if there was uncontrolled spread of the virus, I would probably still wear a mask.
