if Ethan's body is or is at least mostly mold, what could he have done if he knew? Could he have used super strength or even transform like the others?

Sometimes I got a (Silent Hill 1 spoilers) Lisa Garland vibe from him.

I'm curious if Eveline can only control living hosts. Ethan was dead yet intact unlike the cop who's brain was sliced in two, but his corpse still began to transform. Also by being dead maybe he can only heal wounds (re-attach). Had he managed to keep his torn off fingers they likely would have gone back on.

He was dead but the mold resuscitated him and kept him alive.

and I think had he never stopped eveline he would fall to her eventually. He was having hallucinations which was a symptom prior to becoming assimilated.
