Which is funny because like ten years ago there was next to no content in that gap (even before Legends was wiped).

Now there's too much of it and I'm like "any other time period please"

On the other hand, between anh and esb has gotten the bulk of comic/novel material. Or at least it did a few years back

I know it's inevitable at this point, but I'd love to see The Old Republic era and it also seems like they're adding more content to the post-RotJ/pre-The Force Awakens era.

Yeah they're doing all that stuff in phases IIRC

So like the first few years of comics focus on the gap between ANH and ESB, now they're jumping into the ESB and RotJ gap.

I know it's inevitable at this point, but I'd love to see The Old Republic era and it also seems like they're adding more content to the post-RotJ/pre-The Force Awakens era.

The main new era they're developing is The High Republic, which is more recent in the timeline than TOR. Still pretty interesting tho. I've read one of the novels and a few of the comics in that era.

And yeah a good chunk of the shows going forward are filling in the RotJ and TFA gap, which is awesome.

I was gonna say "You forgot Resistance, but it's okay. Everyone does."

Resistance isn't "bad" so much as it's bland. The efforts of the production team seemed to want to avoid the main plot of the Sequel Trilogy without ultimately knowing what was going to be done with the Sequel Trilogy, so all it could do is dance in its own corner.

One of the series they announced last year, The Acolyte, is set during the High Republic era

And there's rumors of a High Republic game being in development rn
