At this point, you just have to assume they are going to put in a rap act, and you could argue even people who don't listen to hiphop/rap (like me) know who he is, and probably know a song or so of his (99 Problems is a banger I won't lie).

Iron Maiden not going in isn't cool. And I get that Foo Fighters would of in one day, but 1st year they are eligible? Ehh, I mean their radio songs are enjoyable but I tried getting deeper into them and found them very ordinary. They do deserve to go in like I said, but literally the 1st year they can? They could've waited a bit.

Kraftwerk should have been a day one inductee. You can't absolutely tell the story of electronic music without mentioning them a thousand times, and that arguably goes for early hiphop as well.

It is the Music Hall of Fame and has been for a long time. They arent changing the name for legacy/marketing reasons.

When the Rock & Roll hall of fame first opened in 1987, they looked to induct those who were pioneers of rock & roll music and artists from genres who influenced what would become rock music. (Blues, R&B)

Also, one of the requirements for induction is it has to be 25 years from an artist/band's first album release. Kraftwerk didn't meet that requirement in 1987, when the hall selected it's first class.

Obviously, over the last 20 years they have been inducting artists from non rock genres and I agree that Kraftwerk should have been inducted years ago.
