But Fear the Walking Dead has been extremely solid for the past several seasons now. Hell, the current season has been amazing, and it's probably the best of the show thus far.

100% agree and I'm not sure how long I've felt that way but it's definitely been a while. When Morgan and John Dorie joined the show but maybe even before that? How many years ago was that...

Nick and Madison were never high on my list of favs so when they went out 1-2 I was like, alright, I can dig this. Strand, Daniel, Alicia still great after all these years.

(Current season spoilers) Still unbelievably mad that Jon Dore died but my understanding is he wanted off the show so, fair enough, but damn... they got me so good, thinking he'd wash up at his cabin and get stitched up, another miracle gunshot wound survival... so good but so mad

Walking Dead is a "watch for the sake of watching/we've come this far" show, but FTWD is a genuine, look forward to it every week show.

Yeah, Morgan and John were when the show really got a fresh reboot, and they've built a new cast (with a few old faces) that work to create a compelling narrative.

How curious
FTWD is probably the only tv show I ever gave up on because it was far too boring for me. Like, I really couldn't keep watching anymore even though there were still episodes available
I think it was in early Season 3

But if you say that it got far better...hm..interesting. Maybe i'll give it another go (but that also means I will probably rewatch it because I don't remember much and..I don't want to. So...no rewatching?)

Honestly, the first paragraph is fair. Those first three seasons are BAD. ESPECIALLY season 3 (though season 2 isn't much better). Seasons 4, 5 and 6 have all been great though (it's amazing that it's only three seasons. The show feels like it's been on longer because of the whole "two half-seasons a year" thing.

I wanna say Fear the Walking Dead had an ok 1st season, a great 2nd season, and then either the 3rd or 4th was like up there as one of the worst seasons of TV Ive ever seen?

I just remember there was a scene at some point where the main characters were shooting at (to kill) some other people and their reasoning was extremely stupid as hell, and it was just an insane thing to watch.

I just can't bring myself to care about anything TWD related anymore. Got burned out on the comics before the show started, then got burned out on the show like S4? S5? I don't even remember.

I liked the season on the ranch with that crazy guy that was best friends with the main character. Him and Coleman Domingo were the only cool characters the show ever had.

I disliked season 1.

I hated season 2.

It gets better?

Maybe it was Season 3 that was great, and I got my timeline mixed up. That sounds right.

Season 3 was the survivalist ranch. It was definitely the low point of the show.

I was hoping they'd make Fear the Walking Dead an origin story for the Whisperers but that didn't happen and I lost interest.

Agreed (also just finished watching it). Normally I'd be mentally nitpicking how the show has constant "just so" moments of specific characters running into specific other characters in the middle of nowhere at exactly the right time, but I don't care anymore, it makes for damn good episodes. That was so good.

Or like, starting a coma dream episode, my first thought is, oh great... and then it turns out fantastic. Damn i love this show.

Gotta think the "key" that Teddy's group reclaimed has to access WMD of some kind, right? I'm just assuming nuclear missile silo right now...
