i only got a samsung galaxy because i wanted samsung pay because it worked with magnetic card readers, but regular nfc payments are super normal in my area now so i dont need it. also they're taking that feature out in future devices.

right now im hesitant because i like Firefox for Android because it lets you install addons, which for me includes uBlock Origin.

a) Do you want a high end phone that works well with your iPad, Macbook or AirPods?
b) Are you willing to give up (or don't bother using) any additional customization Android might give you?
c) Are you willing to give up things other high-end smartphones seem to also be abandoning (like the headphone jack or a power brick)
d) do you want to resell your phone for 60-70% of its value in 2-3 years when you get a new phone?
e) Do you want a phone that you can reliably count on to "just work" with whatever you might be trying to do with it?

If these answers are all yes (or even I don't care) then you should probably look into getting an iPhone. Especially if you look at other high-end phones right now (the new Samsung's are putting ads into the settings and stuff, its gross)

I have an s10e right now and I'm probably gonna replace it with an iPhone, because I have a macbook now and other phones seem to also be ditching the headphone jack. My s10e is still awesome so it won't be soon, but still.

I love my iPhone 12, but I upgraded from a Note 3 I had for over 8 years.

Just this year I went from a moto G4 to a iPhone 12. It was a pretty large upgrade.

Went with the iPhone 12 because it seemed to universally be considered the best value among the most expensive phones.
