Originally you were given 8 hours of UPT (Unpaid Time Off) for each shot. Now they made it so that can you retroactively receive pay for those days AS WELL as up to 80 hours worth of pay if you experience symptoms and had to use time off.

At least that's how i interpreted it when i woke up this morning.

Sounds like a nightmare for the HR department in my building, which is fine with me because (most of) those bitches don't do anything, but bitch at people and bug me to print stuff and do their bitch work for them.

I feel like either you misread something or someone fucked up somewhere and a lot of people are about to be absent for 2 weeks

I need my job to do that. I don't like going to work sick but I don't want to lose money.

I THINK I'm interpreting it correctly. Also forgot to mention we'd also get $40 for each vaccine shot, which isn't too bad.

Hmmmm. I'd interpret that more as the 80 hrs probably applies to people that actually get covid as the 2 weeks paid leave was what the government credited to all businesses at least based on the individual circumstances part but then it's kind of vague

The 2 week covid leave was always a thing here since lockdown first started. You just need a positive test result OR apparently an easily forged letter from your doctor stating that you have covid. I know like 4 people that did that >_< I guess HR In my building doesn't bother to call.
