I've been in the wait camp, because I was also maintaining limitations of where I go. It was a power a choice in that sense if any new developments or options came up in due time.

Some family politics and the floodgates kinda opening had me go for my first dose yesterday. I still don't believe I 100% made a properly informed decision. As crazy as it sounds, yeah I wanted to understand this like something of an armchair bioligist.

But it drew down to the fact I still have a decision. I could still get this done at a hospital, and I still could get Pfizer. Again, really don't know if Pfizer is absolutely the best option, but it was the one I was most confident in and well, I could at least act on that. And yeah, bottom line, the only way to "normalcy" is limiting this spread. Even though I was and still will limit my exposure, I had to make an example out of it. Someone in my family that wants to get out more but didn't get their shots yet. It's like fuck you if I and everyone else around you got their shots with no plans to really go out, you look stupid trying to do the opposite.

Honestly, even if these vaccines do cause cancer in some people years down the line.... how can you prove that it was the vaccine that caused it? For all you know, anything could have triggered that shit >_>

Besides has there ever been a vaccine ever tested that caused side effects months/years after taking it? Like 99.99% of side effects show up a week after taking them, not fucking months or years lol

I don't fucking understand why nobody can seem to grasp this. It's not about whether or not you go out much, or if you're not afraid of the disease itself, or really any other reason.

We NEED the ENTIRE US population to hit a certain percentage threshold to defeat COVID19. Every armchair epidemiologist and / or conspiracy theorist out there who rationalizes to themselves that they're making an "informed" decision is a fucking moron.

And if I seem mad, it's because I am. I had to admit these people over the past 14 months, and it didn't have to fucking be this way if we had leaders who weren't incompetent fucking morons, a political party willing to enable / make excuses for them at any cost, and dipshit yee-haw freedumb morons having giant rallies and telling people to call the fucking cops on people for wearing masks.

We do know that COVID19 has severe long-term side effects, though. Hypercoagulable state, stroke, pulmonary emboli, etc.

i really understand the urge to understand what you're getting. thing is, you can pretty much look all of this up, its not hidden and its not horribly complicated. if you've got specific questions you can always ask them here, there are a bunch of people that are at least 'armchair biologists' on this forum.

i tried to get the vaccine a few days ago, when i went there the folks started asking me general questions and because i told them that i had covid before in march of this year they decided against vaccinating me. they told me to come back mid/late june to wait until it's been 3 months since i last recovered from covid

well obviously hes not directly referring to this vaccine considering hes been dead for quite some time. But forcing people to do things for the greater good is what he was warning against.
