Obv has to be powerful enough to run it well in the first place... I'm guessing there's ways around screencapping in the same regard, most seem pretty processor intensive.

Oh well maybe I'll start streaming something else other than REVillage

My understanding is that it really depends on what settings you play at and what internet speed you have

Alot depends on 3 things

1: how good your internet...namely your upload is

2. How graphics heavy and ram used the game is.

3. How much ram obs/recording program uses.

A good example is I know someone who's has a really crappy laptop but still streames decently older games on it.

I stream games like Minecraft, Spiritfarer, and Dead by Daylight on an i5, 1060, with 8gigs of ram.
I'll occasionally get bits of lag but it's usually smooth.

Note: I also had a laptop that was much better that I used to stream VR games but the CPU fan died. My new desktop gets here next week!

Hmm any tips on software to use? The beta twitch one seems not great right now for me, but maybe I just need to optimize my equipment...

I use streamlabs. As Tortilla said above, it's the easiest software among the bunch and I didn't want anything fancy to get started.
