New pokemon snap lacks content. It seems great and all, just not enough there to justify a 60 dollar purchase. And it will carry that same 60 dollar price forever with exception to a few sales here and there where it is at most 10 dollars off. And that is my biggest problem with most Nintendo games now. They lacking in content to keep me entertained with the game long enough to justify a 60 dollar purchase, but never reduce the price for me to justify it at a lower cost.

That shit should be a side feature in a fully fledged Pokemon game. Gamefreak has been doing the bare minimum for far too long and getting away with it because people just keep accepting the same shit over and over. The way the pokemon feel real to life in snap should be what you feel / experience in an actual pokemon game in the year 2019+.

TL;DR Switch is a rich mans, no let me say it another way, Switch is a fools console. Nintendo can continue to work on pure profit because they have a willing fanbase to exploit.

I like their games / franchises, but I will not simp for them.

most switch games arent worth 60 bucks to be honest

I like my switch but theres not a lot of games i would play on it.

thats where i play it mostly, or on long waits somewhere.

but its not my go to console. Like if a new game is coming out on all consoles the switch is probably last on the list.

Switch has some classic exclusives, but that's pretty much it. If you can buy the game on another console, the other console will be the vastly superior option.

I would argue it beats even PS4/5 exclusives due to having a much wider variety of exclusive games, because if you don't like fairly linear story-driven games, there aren't many PS exclusives that might appeal to you. While Switch has exclusive platforms, RPGs, Kart racers, arcade fighting games, etc...

For me, it's PC > PS4/5 > Switch > Xbox > SouljaBoy.

I'm so glad that Nintendo combined its handheld and console markets. Since we have sequels that actually release on a console now (so many console games got DS/3DS only sequels and I hated that). But I don't care about portability, so I only play it when a good exclusive releases.

I agree with you that it's ridiculous how Nintendo games never go down in price. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is 4 years old and it was already a port of a 3 year old game. That game should be like $15 by now...

BUT, as someone that's been playing New Pokemon Snap, it's a ton of fun. I think it would have been incredibly basic if it's development was left up to GameFreak, as side content in a mainline game. Those guys haven't changed the basic game design since the first games. No way we'd have lifelike Pokemon interactions if it was developed by them lol.

I'm going all-digital for the Switch, for the convenience and also because I don't really have shelf room right now. Also, I rarely sell games (only done so in the past due to severe money issues), so any value that they get in the future is irrelevant to me.
