All blood types are not compatible with others and babies cannot receive all types of blood either. When giving baby blood, i have to be hooked up to a special machine. It's not the typical needle and a bag thing. I forgot what he calls it. But I just got a tattoo 3 days ago so I cannot donate for a while. The phlebotomist at my old doctors practice always made me laugh and feel at ease, that seems like a good skill to have. Or maybe that's backwards. It's a way longer process because of that. Again tho I could be confused. Its been a while since I've donated. I just know there is a special machine and they made me get on it when they found out I had baby blood lol The reason baby blood is so sought after by phlebotomists is because only like 10% of adults or something can donate. You have to have O+ or O- blood and also have never been exposed to some super common virus. As for the tattoo, it's a traditional sailor tattoo.
