The pic was of a cap ring, cap guns didnt shoot anything out to my knowledge they just made a bang from the explosive cap going off.
Yes, and?

It was a cap pistol that straight up looked like a .357. Way more than those things that get kids shot these days.

Mine was the standard 38 snub.

There was a Robocop toy that had similar strips to these that you could feed into his back and pop them off.
My friends and I used to throw whole rolls of those cap gun strips in to a fire. In hindsight I can see why kids toys have been dumbed down.

I use to smash whole rolls with a hammer.

I used to set off the cap gun strips by running my thumbnail across them quickly. Sometimes it wouldn't work but most of the time it did.

Sorry I read your post incorrectly. I thought it was saying those cap rings shot bb's.

There was these kinds too.

Also instead of whole ring caps we would individually break them apart and randomly load caps in the cylinder like a real gun.

Does anyone remember this series of toys that were customizable battle tanks/trains? You could put different guns or armor on them and really build these huge ass things because each one had a little hole or peg that let you hitch them together. The base was just this black square not too much bigger than a standard Hot Wheels car with slots on top to connect the various attachments and wheels on the bottom. Some of them had those self-propelling wheels that you pull back and launch. Would've been early 90s.

This sounds like the things I've been trying to remember the name of for weeks. I don't know if it's exactly the same since I don't remember any that pulled back, but same idea of customizable battle vehicles.

Only some of them had that feature, the ones that were supposed to be the "locomotive" part of it.

I also seem to remember there being lots of silver, purple, and orange plastic.

Yes.

I think it was 83 or 84 I got one that looked like Big Foot.

It was the cool poor kids toy from GI Joe and Transformers.

I recall having these Sci-Fi space characters from the late 70s and early 80s like the MUSCLE characters from the Mid 80s.

They were like Army Men but Space like.

I dont have a pic but I used to love those dice baseball/football/basketball wooden board games with the pegs that fit in the holes. Those are games that actually require your brain and some imagination. Honestly playing with those kinds of simple toys back in the day is what I think made me a creative person later in life. I would go outside with army hotwheels cars and make forts with dirt, tanbark, sticks, and stones. Kids dont really do that these days.

thered be times we played football with a water bottle haha, or played baseball with any randomass ball and a stick.

Kids around my neighborhood these days play on their electric scooters and $3000 golf carts.
