The pointed bits work much better imo. The round one is soothing but the pointed ones really can get deep and painful in the right way. Mine has 6 speeds and the 1st is just relaxing and the 6th is insanely hardcore Im a professional musician and get shoulder and back tension all the time so I use it mostly for that.
