Corporations don't care about their employees and see them only as disposable drones. The image and productivity are all that matter. Sitting down is a detriment to both, in the eyes of a fuckwad higher up. It's why I risked everything to become self-employed. I don't work for filth.

Hurting heels, knees, hips, or being pregnant does not excuse one from sitting down according to corporations.

The lazy excuse gets tossed around all the time, but upper management never realizes that workers are more productive if they can sit and work.

I always hated the tucking in your shirt rule some places enforce. Once I worked in a non climate controlled warehouse in S.C. and they tried enforcing this rule. It was disgusting by the end of the day. This same warehouse gave me grief over a tattoo on my arm that reached below my sleeve. They wanted me to wear long sleeves in the dead of summer to cover it.

I wasn't able to have my ear pierced while working at Taco Bell, when I was just out of High School. I was let go when I came in with an eyebrow ring, even though the bill of my hat kept it pretty much out of site. I was told that only females were allowed to have piercings.

I was petty to a co-worker once. She ratted me out for having a pierced ear, which was normally covered by the drive thru headset. When the manager told me it was against the company dress code, I pointed out that it also said females could only have one set, and this girl had like five holes in each ear. Manager didn't like that response, but he did end up enforcing it.
