im sitting at a 700 score. time to apply for some credit cards!

PS5 here i come!

jk ima pay for that cash. but yeah its strange. my thought is that the automatic stay where they can't ask you for payments anymore forced them off my report. once my debt is discharged im assuming some note will appear later and tank my score again? this is interesting.

As I said multiple times throughout the years your credit score doesn't really mean anything it is effectively haruspicy in terms of how it is calculated. Lenders won't look at your credit score they don't care about it they look at a gigantic trail of paperwork that shows what kind of borrowing you've done and what kind of payments you've made and they make their own decisions based off of that. the credit score that you can have access to is a sort of easily digestible format of how a creditor might look at you based on that paper trail but in truth the creditors won't even see that score because it's meaningless.

I don't think that's how the big short worked

didn't john oliver do a segment about how broken and manipulative bankruptcy is, like, a week ago?
couple days ago

his take away was that republicans made it harder and easier to screw up because lenders lobbied for it. also bankruptcy lawyers are racist. yikes.

luckily, my lawyer has been great. hasn't tried to push me into 13 so she could make more money....

... yet. <_< but i mean its already filed so.
