No shit. Oral arguments get very brief time. The bulk of the appeal process is done by the judges and their clerks entirely in-house. Often by the time of oral arguments, the opinion is about 95% done, if not entirely.

Tl;dr there is literally nothing to cover in the appellate process other than OA (10-15 minutes, usually) and the opinion's release.

This. They'd be crazy not to. Everyone thought the city was going to burn if he was found not guilty. That's a pretty big thing to wrestle with. Imagine if you really believed someone was innocent but knew the city was going to be destroyed if you didn't find them guilty.

That being said, the verdict came back so quick that it hardly seems likely anyone felt pressured. I'm betting they spent more time picking a foreman than actually deliberating.

There is no way of knowing why each juror reached the decision they did, anyone claiming to know this is clearly trying to manipulate you. That being said what Maxine Waters said was incredibly stupid, not quite as bad as the right makes it out to be but she was definitely encouraging things to escalate

This local news site says they were only partially sequestered during the trial. So, they were going home every night. It wasn't until deliberation that they were fully sequestered.
