Then how do people get the nature they want since its locked if you save after catching something. So youd need to catch it and then purify it which can take a long time, and reset and repeat until it has what you want. Far worse then the actual games.

You just kinda have to tolerate not getting what you want. Natures don't matter in-game anyway, and you can transfer them to breed for a nature you want later.

I'm more concerned about getting more than one Pokemon with the same nature. That would drive my OCD crazy.

There's no way to tell until purified. The purpose of those Pokemon was to transfer them into the main games which at the time otherwise had no (legal) way to obtain them.

If you have OCD I seriously encourage using save editors like Pkhex. It completely frees the mind. It makes the games far more enjoyable knowing you can both fix anything you dislike and never lose your files even if you reset.

If you know stats well enough, you can figure it out. If a nature has a positive benefit on a stat it is 10% higher. If a nature has a negative benefit on a stat, it is 10% lower. I would suggest using a stat calculator. There will be some overlap between having a perfect IV in a stat and a neutral nature vs a low IV in a stat and a positive nature. My recommendation is to find the minimum value for a stat that can only be reached when the nature has a positive effect on that stat.

Save editors themselves aren't. Also if we're being real, the Pokemon's personality was generated by a machine in the first place. If you're really hung up on it I'd recommend saving the original PMKN file and then if you transfer them to Gen 8 change it back to its original nature and use a mint on it.
