Staying away from BTC. Limited to what I can get here in Canada. I already have ETH. Should I bother with BCH?

I'm using Bitbuy here in Canada. They only have like 7 coins to pick from or so. I could diversify with those remaining coins.

Bitcoin Cash is cool I'd get about 2 of them

If I stuck with Bitbuy options I'd get about 3000 XLM, 2000 XRP, 3 BCH, 3 LTC and probably ETH with whatever else is left. If I was going to drop the whole thing at once

It might also be good to snipe a few and wait to see if the markey dips lower for even cheaper prices

There was just a 10% drop in a lot of big coins so this morning is a good time to buy if you're gonna do it

Doge gonna take off on 4/20, so clearly that.

But you will probably get some decent gains if you're free on that day and buy in at the next dip then sell when it hits a good number on that day. People are gonna buy due to the memes and hype.

Chainlink is hopping in the last 3 months and will only shoot higher. $38 currently but expected to easily hit $100 soon.

Vechain is blowing up right now. Up 160% in the last month. Continuing to climb higher and higher.

Both have great tech behind them. Bought both back in 2017 and they are finally starting to show the tip of their worth.

Honestly, yeah, with that cash and the volatility of the coins, I wouldn't invest solely in one. There is a lot of expectations that in a few years, I believe 2024, coins will start going high big time, but that could always be wrong. Still, you do not want to invest everything in one coin, sure, there's a possibility you happen to pick THE COIN that gives you the biggest returns, but if you invest in multiple coins, some safe, perhaps some more risky, there is a greater chance of success.

I'm leaning towards distributing $10K between BCH, LTC and XRP. Or should I just skip BCH and get a fraction of BTC? By 2025 I'll see where things stand otherwise I may move some around or take it all out and deal with stocks.

With NFT becoming big crypto will play a huge role. A lot of artists are going to cut the middle man so NFT will rise.

perhaps proponents see something in bch, ltc, and xrp that i don't, but in this day and age they seem like redundant projects in their own ways.

that is to say, while all are great for faster and cheaper transfers of value (i use ltc for this very purpose), innovation with respect to that issue / engineering problem seems to have been of greater concern to investors/developers during the previous cycle and of less relevance in this day and age. there's still innovation and growth potential, but it is not the primary driver of value in the space anymore.

that is to say, they don't seem to contribute much to the growth of the emerging web3 ecosystem.

any idea which platforms/dapps will be used to manage the distribution of multimedia and gaming asset related nfts? and if so, which sidechain dapps will they interacting with?

Holders of XRP were awarded Spark/FLR tokens from the December 2020 snapshot. That was a huge boost as far as DeFi, NFTs etc. goes. However new investors won't be awarded that opportunity now with XRP

With that large of an amount your best bet is probably going to be bitcoin there still projecting it to get closer to 100 K at some point

$10000 in the right altcoin can make you a millionaire. Bitcoin is not giving you that type of return at this point in time. You'd have to hope for a $5Million BTC for that.

For example $10000 into DOGE or DENT back in December would have gotten the investor about $1,000,000 in today's money.

$10,000 into Bitcoin right now, and bitcoins price would need to reach more than 5 Million to turn it into $1,000,000. That's highly unlikely and very hard to do, unless you project out into 10 years into the future. And then in that scenario you run the risk of BTC actually being replaced by a better alt coin and never reaching that target

I wouldnt put 10K in any one crypto. Invest in 3 instead.

Just saying BTC may not give us much returns as other options at this point
