I have heard of about 3 or 4 via the media since December. It's unfortunate but it can still happen apparently.

It happened to the husband of one my coworkers last week. They've both been fully vaccinated for 6-8 weeks and he got still got sick and tested positive a couple of days ago. No idea if it was one of the other less common strains or whatever.

you can still get it. it just mostly reduces hospitalization and serious side effects.

at the very least you can spread to others while having no symptoms. The viral load will be like half though

Because it dramatically reduces the severity of the disease. Honestly if Covid doesn't kill or harm people after vaccination then there's no reason to fear it if everyone is vaccinated

There are plenty of documented cases of it. Claiming "you can't" is as ignorant as anything anti-vaxxers spew.

The flaw in anti-vaxxer logic (and the same "logic" goes for anti-maskers too, for that matter) is their assumption that if it isn't 100% effective, it's not worth it at all. The vaccine does not guarantee you cannot get covid. But you're far, far less vulnerable to it - and if you do catch it anyway, it's almost certianly going to be a mild or even asymptomatic case. You also will have a lower viral load, which means less risk of spreading to others - and that they're likely to, even if not vaccinated, get milder cases themself if they do catch it from you.

Or in short - the problem isn't "you can get it after being vaccinated" is wrong, but that anti-vaxxers are trying to treat that question as black and white when in reality there's a lot of shades of grey involved.
