I can say the Braves are more exciting rn then they have been in years.

So yes and no. It depends on whether your team is actually capable of scoring runs.

I attended a game as a kid but I don't remember it much.

People bitch about football games taking a long time or longer than the advertised "hour of game time" but baseball games can drag. At least football has things in play to keep the game flowing usually

I do find it a little slow, but its more that there are so many games I can never get invested in just one because it doesnt matter much.
Ive been to baseball games, and that definitely makes it easier to get into it. Ive always been a football fan though.

I've been to a few baseball games. I've always wanted to leave after like 5 innings.

eh, i think hockey is kinda slow too imo. If anything i'll watch a little nba but even then i'm not a big fan. What do you think of nba? at least it's faster than hockey imo

It makes a badly played football (soccer) game full of nothing but passing look interesting imo. And I say that as someone who finds football boring most of the time.

Others are free to enjoy it still though, but just not for me.

I occasionally enjoy watching football in the euro/world cup, but that's almost entirely with being around others and the atmosphere it provides. Also watching England lose satisfies my self hatred as a Brit. I used to enjoy Tennis when I played it regularly, but found my interest dropped significantly once I stopped playing.

Yes and no. The slow part is from batters stepping out of the box after every pitch, adjusting themselves and then taking forever to reset themselves after returning to the box. Beyond that, it's fine.

a pitching clock and less downtime during substitutes would really help with pacing. when you play literally every day and have double headers on a regular basis 3 hours is way too long. they need to be closer to 2 and a half hours

I don't like baseball because I never played it.

Like, I can watch a soccer game because I played for ten years, I can enjoy it.

Never cared about baseball, so it's boring to watch baseball.

The opinion of someone who was never an athlete. Part of the competition is displaying your conditioning and strategy. Baseball vastly favors the pitching the first time through a lineup, the batters adjust to the starters and get better, which is why there are relievers. What a moronic post.

Terrible tv product. Really needs to be sped up.

The ballpark itself is still fun but not even due to the game. Just a good spot to hang out with friends at and have drinks. And on occasion there will be a suspenseful at-bat.

It's a lot more exciting in person but I wouldn't want to go to a game more often than once every few years. I've been to 4 or 5 minor league games and 1 major league game.

who gives a fuck about any of that when you're trying to bring people in, it doesn't matter why athletes play for. it's all about making it entertaining for the viewers at home. People only really care about the last few moments of a tense match. the first 80% of a game is just fucking filler

Maybe not too slow, just too little action. Basketball is dynamic, so anything can happen at anytime and theres more teamwork.

Football is the best sport since it involves methadical plays, as well as dynamic action from the defense, and who doesnt love well designed plays?

Baseball is just the pitcher and the batter, oh sometimes the outfielders do stuff, sometimes players steal bases....yawn.

If football games were a quarter long you'd really only ever see boring fucking 0-0, 7-0, 8-7 scores.

I watch American football, NHL, and just recently I've been watching baseball. I can see the appeal, it's a relaxing game to watch on tv.

Tried watching basketball and I just can't for the life of me get into the sport.

Yes, though I've never attended a game and just watched them on TV.
