I died like five times on one of the fights up this mountain, but I did learn that I can basically one-shot Cremators in the process.

I play it offline exclusively. Unless your problem is needing an internet connection to play the game, then I totally feel you. I hate that stuff, but it is what it is.

Gamepass makes me not care too much about that right now. I'll play the game and likely never go back to it. I don't have to buy the game, and since I never had to pay for the Game Pass, I'm essentially playing it for free. But yeah, if I paid my own money for it I would be pissed if it was rendered unplayable in the future. And unlike on a PC, I would have less of a chance of someone unofficially patching it to play without internet on the console.

Just got to Trench Town.

Got a new purple AR, so I broke down the old one.

Only gun I've seen with a "1% health per shot" mod, which is very nice.

Also tried out Cyclone Slice, it's fucking ridiculous and I'm going back to Temporal Blade.

Like it works, but I pirouette around like an asshole for fifteen seconds.

Also found the sidequest for this Greybeard not those guys who wants me to find a smuggler who has been the go-between for him and his daughter.

Nothing good has ever happened in this game, I'm betting the daughter is dead and the smuggler has been forging her letters while hawking the old dick's food and meds.

I keep forgetting to switch my actual skills whenever I try a new loadout.

Boosts to Venator's Knife aren't helpful when I still have Temporal Blade, also since the former works at a distance, slashing in front of my like an asshole while 3 people charge me at 20 meters is also unhelpful.

Broke down one of the guns to get started on Tier II mods, keeping that SMG in case I want to switch from AR.

Both Tactical, the shotty is a standard pump.

Fuckin' love the tactical guns in this.

Until now, I'd only gotten 2.

Looks like it gets much easier in the second hub, around level 21.

Also you can reroll your skills whenever you want, so that's pretty neat.

Purples drop fairly frequently when you get to a high enough world tier. Speaking of which, what WT drizzt?

I'm on WT8 and I'm fairly certain I won't be going higher than this. Not only is this my first shooter, I generally suck at games. I can't handle what I got right now.

Eh, the difficulties are kinda just a stats game, Eventually as you level up and get higher level gear, you'll be able to bump it up.

I know that. As I've clearly been increasing it. But I'm not good at the game. So I actually have to grind the easier parts to raise the WT. Otherwise I'd never get any higher. The higher your WT, the higher the enemies, and more damage they put out. Even with higher level gear, they shred through me with a few shots. I assure you I'm quite unskilled at videogames, despite over 3 decades of playing them.

When you die you WT Meter drops, but you still get your Exp. So you can die while leveling up. Which actually makes the enemies you were just fighting even stronger. So you either backtrack to get slightly stronger gear while losing your progress, keep bashing against the same now more powerful mob wave until you get a lucky break, lower the WT like they keep pestering your loser-ass to do, or just got gud. I go for the luck, personally. Sometimes I wait for a favorable wave pattern that lets me be aggressive and then fall back to recover.

I only raised the WT to try to get Legendary gear, but none have dropped for me yet. Maybe later in the game they will. But I'm likely going to stick to WT6 when playing the story. And max WT when grinding for resources and WT.

The crafting system, once you get zahedi is actually pretty cool and very cheap. It let's you swap out your favorite power boosts for a trivial amount of iron / leather so when you get a higher level item you can put the power you want on it if it's boosting something you never use.

You just have to have scrapped something with the power you want at least once in the past and you can swap in that power forever with an existing power on an item.

I've been using that a lot.

The health per shot tier I is very nice.

I scrapped my SMG because I was hoping to put the anomaly blade on my AR but no dice.

Still haven't used the Raise Attributes one much or upped the quality level, but I've leveled up a fair few items.

I need a pair of pants and I'll be pure purple, hoping to get that from turning in my Hunter quest.

Right on the edge of leveling up, so I neglected to turn in those while I was in town.

Outriders is a game i really wanted to buy but i don't have internet at my place now so the game would be worthless to me. Its a shame that the developer felt like locking a single player campaign behind an internet wall

Got a nice Double Gun from a bounty, broke down my AR, realized I don't like Double Guns as much, used basically everything I had to get a new purple AR, level 23.

I like cutting people in half with Twisted Rounds. There's a Weapon Mod Tier II that gives you a Full Mag if you kill someone with less than 35% of your ammo left. So you can essentially use Twisted Rounds practically indefinitely, dealing crazy damage.

Stick with what you like. Twisted Rounds can be super strong, especially with LMGs and ammo replenishment but its also the most boring ability in the game. I got a legendary weapon around level 21 or so (Grim Morrow) that leaves a ridiculously powerful bomb behind when dudes die that had me going for twisted rounds combined with ammo replenishment (though I did it group a mod that gives me ammo back on bleeding damage and slapping bleeding on the guns second mod slot).

Going into the Outrider bunker.
