Thats what the Wii U console looked like? I dont think Ive ever even seen a picture of it before, just the controller.

Did the Wii U sell well here in the US? I knew tons of people that have had DS, Wii, 3DS, and Switch but I feel like I knew almost no one that had a Wii U.

The only thing the Wii U has going for it that doesnt involve hacking is the Virtual Console. Its rather baffling (albeit unsurprising) that Nintendo hasnt taken advantage over their library.

iirc it did very poorly in sales because a lot of casual buyers thought it was just some kind of add-on to the Wii instead of a whole new console

I miss VC and shop music but that's about it. It had some cool games but every major console does, Switch has a much better library by far

Weirdest thing about the Wii U is Nintendo actually did somewhat recently deliver it an update so that it can still play Netflix and YouTube. For a while, it had become impossible. Best thing about it back in the day was using it essentially as a Smart TV sub in. Also, all the VC games are completely playable with just the pro controller.
