As someone who suffers anxiety disorders and has had issues with depression and suicide in the past, as well as the feeling of not having friends, I legitimately used to defend you because I could relate to you.

actually people suggested for her to do dis exact thing a few months ago when she was posting about how she was finally seeing a therapist. But instead of going "ooh good idea, i should think about that", she said "mind your own business, i don't think my therpist needs to know about CE". Was really sus, ngl.

No, he's right though. The entire point of therapy and psychology is to discuss the problems affecting your mental health, no matter how embarrassing or awkward it is. You think people who feel confused and awkward about gender dysphoria shouldn't being it up to their therapist?

If CE is a source of mental affliction, it 100% should be discussed with a therapist. Like, Metallica is right on the money. Not bringing it up is basically like having symptoms of advanced lung cancer, but going to a doctor and telling them you feel totally fine.

I dont know why I bothered trying to be helpful when I had every reason to expect her to find a way to take it negatively or as some new technique to be an asshole, but I did.

I won't bother in the future.

For real though I can't stress strongly enough how much it could potentially help her to have her therapist go through a thread like this with her. An honest outside perspective would be very uncomfortable for her to hear im sure... but at least it might help her realize that a lot of it is on her.

Or else she'd quit seeing the therapist or the therapist would get fed up and say they can't help if she isn't willing to accept criticism and be honest with herself.

As for that last sentence, it's not mutually exclusive. People here are the type to gravitate for the lowest possible hanging fruit, so in her case, they use what she says as an excuse to talk shit about who she is. That is just what people here do in general. It's happened to me and countless others as well. She just seems to be more affected by it and more open to mentioning that it affects her, which unfortunately motivates people to be even shittier about it. I personally have other ways of handling that sort of thing.
