I main DNC and got MCH at 80 (or about to hit), so I wanna get another type of job up. RDM I've tried to pick up twice, like it seems fun and the most appealing caster but I got bored sub-60. NIN was my main when I first started FFXIV so there's history, but I've neglected it since Heavensward. WHM would mainly be to get over my healer anxiety for when Sage comes out, and is my lowest leveled of the 3.

I would say RDM, but if you've already tried it twice and haven't gotten anywhere with it, then I'd go for NIN. It helps that you can use your aiming accessories with it too.

Yeah, I'm not sure if its simply lacking all my skills or being bored with the linear gameplay (Balance gauge, jump in for melee, rinse & repeat) but it never stuck me. I love the idea of having cure/raise and switching between melee & magic.

Prolly going with NIN, the sharing of accessories is a big plus and AFAIK, their level 60 rotation is a good indicator of the endgame status of NIN (which I have it at, along with RDM). Unfortunately there's some major lag going on that I'm a victim of, so I'll play it once I ding 80 on MCH (like half a level away) and do some MSQ. Hopefully Comcast will solve their shit by then

kind of but it has a lot of shit to weave in during its opener and reopeners at 80

should get a tank and a healer to 80 first so you have wiggle room when joining PFs

Exactly, seems all I have to learn is when to weave my new skills in. Good contrast to braindead MCH/DNC as well

I don't play tanks in MMOs, and I plan on leveling a healer during Endwalker. My issue with picking up a healer right now is I'm worried about sucking and ruining runs, but my limited experience has shown it to be absolutely piss easy. But that's healing <=50 dungeons on SCH which I could get sloshed and have my fairy do all the heals while I struggle to find out what the fuck all my skills do

healing is as easy or difficult as your party is competent or ass. in casual content you can just spam your dps spell and heal with oGCDs most of the time, ex trials and savage too if your co-healer knows what they're doing with their own cooldowns

should still level a tank tho

I am currently getting all my jobs to level 69. My pursuit is more noble than most.

Yeah, I had more fun honestly when my party would be ass lol. Gives me something to do other than spam a very limited DPS rotation. I'm absolutely not leveling a tank though, nothing about the role entices me and I'm not leveling something I won't have fun with. If that means I can only choose from a melee dps, phys ranged dps, caster or healer, I'm sure I'll survive.

I don't know what CPM means. Cast per min? I did enjoy how busy MCH felt, weaving in OGCDs all the time then getting burst phases I get to mash whatever I can fit into my ping. When I played NIN in HW I did like pulling off mudras between my main rotation, very satisfying along with a lack of positionals.

Those are way easier to pull off than like, MNK with positionals. That's more what I mean, I didn't like having my DPS rely on consistently nailing the right position. NIN, you just gotta get those key moments in.
