Yup, screw the office. Massive waste of time and money to go to a place where I'm less productive.

Everyone wants WFH until the overbearing monitoring software comes, which makes WFH have less freedom than going to the office.
They can monitor and fucking fire me, for all I care.

Yeah thats what I said earlier ITT

Im far from a corporate shill tbh. I just miss going in and working with people in personit gets monotonous sitting at my desk at home every day

but I do acknowledge that my situation (short commute, no dress code) is different from many offices

I enjoyed working from home because I could wear gym shorts, poop in my own toilet, do laundry and dishes and other chores during my downtime, sleep in later, and play video games during my hour lunch break. The office is such a beatdown in comparison.

I work in hospital IT. My company is being smart about it and said that if you want to work from home you can. If you want them to setup a cubicle for you in the office they will. It looks like 90-95% of the department wants to work from home.

I'd be interested in going into the office 1-2 times a week. But only if others were also in the office at the same time lol. Otherwise not having to commute is wooooonderful.

Even with our lax WFH requirements we've been having trouble finding certain candidates. Our current rule is that you must live in our state. Someday if HR ever figures out the logistics of hiring people from other states then that'll expand our recruitment opportunities.

Keep all of the office workers working from home. Less traffic for me to get through.

How's it any different from someone commuting from the next state over?

Blame taxes for that. Working in one state while living in another makes things wonky. But in this case they would be living in and "working at home" / "working out of state".

Because then they're physically working in a different state since the office is there. If they can work from home and never visit the office, that changes things.

We're intending on being in the office once or twice a week to allow for some team building. But we have no ETA on when we open the office
