This week, WWE held their annual Hall of Fame ceremony inducting both the 2020 class and the 2021 class.

Inducted into the Legacy Wing of the Hall of Fame for the Class of 2021 was Ethel Johnson. Johnson is the first African American womens pro wrestler who was active in the 50s and 60s and won the NWA World Womens Tag Team Championship with June Byers.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that the footage that WWE used to show Johnson wrestling was not of Johnson. Meltzer noted that the footage WWE used was of Sandy Parker, which had been mentioned by some users on Twitter earlier this week.

Edit: it was Patti Labelle's photo they used. Then they lied about the mistake

How do you **** up that badly?

I mean, WWE clearly doesn't give 2 ****s about the "legacy wing" since, as a wrestling fan, this was the first time I'd heard of it. But still, at least use the right person in the video and talk to their families, jeez.

What makes it worse is it's not even the same era. Sandy Parker wrestled in the 70s, as was the footage they used.
