I feel like you guys are posting the usual classic rock, 90s metal and ancient jazz drummers and thats cool and those guys are great, but there are some other less obvious choices.

I don't know about best drummer, but Larnell Lewis is one of my current favourites.

Neil Peart is one that comes to mind.

Kobe > LeBron. It's only internet stat nerds who think Lebron is better. Watch the games and stop calculating Lebron's PER with your wristwatch calculator.

jimmy chamberlin is world class obviously
I agree. Hes so underrated. Its not that people say hes not good, but not enough people mention his name in these topics.

Probably Mitch Mitchell tbh

I don't think Jimi Hendrix would've been able to fly that if it weren't for Mitchell being able to hold it down during live sets

Then honestly Bonham. I love some of the people mentioned here, but I think Bonham was always able to select the right grooves for every song he played on basically. Just always seems like whatever he does it's just adding rather than just being support which is what I love outta Mitch.

Lombardo, Peart, Chamberlin, Copeland, Moon, Ward -- really all the people that have been mentioned are all phenomenal

No he didn't. That goes all the way back to jazz, and even hardcore bands were doing it sooner
