Quit clowning on TC. Clearly, it hasn't been his day, his week, his month, or even his year.

How smart are you? How dumb am I? Don't count any, of my advice.

His mother should have warned him there would be days like these but, she didn't tell him when the world has brought him down to his knees.

Why didn't you just strap on your job helmet and squeeze down into a job cannon and fire off into job land, where jobs grow on jobbies?

Crappy jobs should be motivation to get an education or skill or trade. Some "good" jobs have to work Christmas as well. Hospitals, police, etc.

I've met very educated/skilled people who have trouble getting work.

You know, I think the reason so many people have such an issue with working these days is because they haven't worked a day in their life until the "oh you're broke, get a job!" phase. You can graduate from school without doing anything. They had no part time job. Then when they learn they actually have to contribute to society instead of goof off all day, they lash out.

I haven't met many people I would consider very skilled who have trouble getting work. Even one's who can't talk for shit that have actually skill have all done alright in my social circle.

I've met plenty of over educated people who have trouble working / finding work. Example of overeducated is I know a woman with a masters in astrophysics and bachelors in software engineering or something like that that can't get a job because she sucks at both, only got through college because of "reasonable accommodations" which included more time for major assignments and finals, took about 8 or 9 years to finish her education because she was only doing like 9-12 credits a semester. Bottom line, she is unproductive. Even the intro level work she takes a long time doing.

I agree. Work ethic is learned behavior. It can happen just at home, but best way to learn it is while getting paid for menial labor but still putting forth effort.

Good idea.

Another good idea, be born with rich parents who can fund your new business.

I didn't mean to aim this topic at employers. It's aimed at privileged customers who have never worked a hard day in their life, wanting services on Christmas day. When I tell them we are closed on Christmas they're all like "what about my needs". Spoiled idiots.
