Pre-covid the family would have a lunch together, even though lots of us aren't religious.

Last two years we did nothing.

We eat a nice brunch and buy each other chocolates? Obviously, I used to go to Easter Mass when I wasn't an atheist.

It's no different than Christmas in being two separate holidays on the same day, which may or may not coincide depending on the beliefs of those celebrating it.

They celebrate the corporate side by stuffing the pockets of corporate bigwigs from buying so much candy

This was how it was when I was growing up. Just an excuse for all my extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins etc) to get together.

Nothing religious at all about it.

You get money on Valentine's Day? I've gotten candy (same with Easter) but it's been a while.

My family believes in God and we have faith, but we don't go to church anymore. Not even for an event like Christmas or Easter.

Even if you don't believe in the reason for the celebrations of Passover and Resurrection, it's still a good excuse to for the family to get together and have a good time. If you just hate your family idk what to tell you stop being edgy ig.

If you have a family and kids its a fun holiday with the Easter eggs/basket stuff and an opportunity to get together and spend time with your family.

Its not a holiday for 35 year old single men on Gamefaqs.
