There is a substance that is causing our pipes to rust, but is not harmful to humans.

It is called dihydrogen oxide.

(the "dihydrogen oxide" part will cause at least 95% of all readers to look the term up.)

You mean because most average Joe's are either not versed in either Latin or chemistry (or have never heard the joke before), and would not know, although they would be curious to discover, that the compound expressed thus as the name declaring the individual constituents of its molecular structure, which is to say, two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen, is just another name, used obfuscatingly, for a common substance that the listener of the joke would encounter in normal everyday life, namely water.

dihydrogen (mon)oxide is overplayed. I prefer hydrohydroxic acid

I'm not sure if this was an April Fools joke, a real DLC that had the misfortune of being announced on April Fools Day, or an April Fools joke that became a real DLC. It has a listing in the Steam Store.
