I've chilled out on a lot of my Twitch spending in the past half year but at my max I was spending over $500 a month >___>

and before any of you say I'm simping for some e-girl, I don't even actively watch any female streamers. The one that I did off and on basically stopped streaming. I don't really feel okay watching female streamers for sexual purposes anyways. There's plenty of free content on the web to fulfill those desires.

But I'll be damned if the dopamine hit from giving streamers money can't be intense as f*** <___< Making people happy and react well, don't try it CE you'll be broke.

I have 300 followers and growing. Over the last 30 days I've earned 65 cents from those ads.

Also everyone should keep in mind that every sub, and bit cheer, twitch takes exactly half of. So if you really want to pay the streamer you should see if you can donate through PayPal.

for Partners, most I've heard on average is 70%

but Partners aren't supposed to actively discuss their contract

For me it's just a hobby, but whatever money I do make from it I want to put back into it.

Depends on the size of the streamer really. If you want to help their analytics, then sub or give bits.
If you want to help their wallet, then PayPal.

I've never watched a stream at all. I have watched edited streams that have been posted to YouTube though. I could see myself donating if I knew them personally or if it was a really small channel making content that I really like and won't get elsewhere.

As long as i'm watching them, that's basically supporting them. Getting views is very difficult nowadays.

I've never correlated donating to a video stream with dopamine.Sounds odd. I mean If I won like a billion dollars and could change people's lives by handing out 100-300k here and there I'd feel really good about that, but a few dollars at a time? naww

Largest streamer I've given to was the first one I ever watched and he only averaged a few hundred in any given stream.

The only streams I really watch any average a couple hundred or less. I prefer conversing with the streamers so I don't see the appeal of large streamers

No it doesn't depend on the size lol. If you reach 15 active subscriptions you get your first emote slot. It slowly ascends from there

You also unlock VIP badges that you can apply to viewers if you have a certain number of people talking in your chat at once. I unlocked 50 because of a PangaeaPanga raid. No money spent there.

Also, if you apply Bit emotes, then people can use them forever when they donate that amount of bits required, even if they're not subbed. There are many ways you can support a streamer other than just donating through paypal.

I don't think you get what I'm saying. The largest streamers (1000 ish subs) would prefer PayPal, at least in the discord servers that I'm in.
But yes, any support is really appreciated!

Eh I don't think larger streamers really have a real preference at all. They'll generally tell you that they appreciate you being there.

That's also true. But hey, however someone wants to support works for me! I'm always happy to have someone to chat with or whatever.

I'm subbed to a few streamers but have only donated/used bits a few times. All of the streams I watch are either former YouTubers or small-time streamers that I found by chance. I tend to prefer watching YouTube videos but sometimes the real-time interaction is nice, too. I tend to avoid big streams for that reason. When the chat is flying by it kinda defeats the purpose of watching it live imo.

I had a recurring sub to one streamer for about a year before they introduced Twitch Prime, and now I just use my Twitch Prime sub on him. I usually dont even catch the streams live anymore so I hope he enjoys the $2.50 a month lol

I don't see a point in watching VODs unless there's something I know to be important to catch, like someone references something hilarious in the Discord or they mention they're covering stream future news at some point.
