Things are either explained with science and logic or we just haven't gotten that far yet. God has always been a substitute for answers and we eventually figure out a logical evidence-based explanation for everything. Deities are an excuse for people too impatient with not having answers. There's no need to jump the gun and believe in things. There's what we know, and what we don't know, which essentially doesn't exist until such a time where it is known. If you start believing in some things, then you have to believe in everything since you're not using a system to rule anything out.
