Yeah, I've been baring that in mind. The hammer just hasn't become second nature to me quite yet like the rest of the arsenal has.

It's funny, because I was almost too eager to use the Crucible. I guess because the hammer isn't an instakill thing, it remains on the backburner in my mind.

LOL I love how cartoonishly squishy the demonic troopers are. It takes like 2 body shots from my heavy cannon to kill one and they make a hilarious "squish" sound effect when they die.

LOL I get what the "catch" is to these demonic troopers. As I'm drunk as hell, dilly-dallying around in this area with infinite-spawning demonic troopers, they can't be glory killed or chainsawed. So I'm just wasting my heavy cannon ammo on them. I feel like this area I've been lingering in was literally designed for a drunk fuck like me. This is so hilarious.

But at the same time, I feel like it's not just me. After playing a hella intense game for as many hours as I have, why wouldn't I want to just hang out in an area of infinite-spawning, squishy, easy-to-kill guys for a while? There's a certain gratifying feeling to it.

lol i barely used the hammer int he last two levels. there was a day or two between when i played the first level and got back to the rest and i just completely forgot i had it. then sometimes i would be saving it "for when shit gets real!!!" but the fight wouldn't escalate as far as i was expecting

I wish this wasn't my answer, but honestly.... just burnt out on DOOM. lol. Great games, though. I'm just glad I can move on in my backlog without having to look back to DOOM for a long time. Might try to play through the series on Nightmare one day.
