People should be allowed to process their grief however they want. She's not doing any harm.

When my Mum died the support of people helped me (a lot of which got in touch with me over my public post on social media) get through it.

She didn't do that for the artistic merit or the clout. She did that so people could see the emotional and physical toll of what a miscarriage can do to a potential mother. Whenever you hear of a miscarriage, it's after the fact and it's like "Oh that's said" but that's usually the extent. Most people don't actually see it first hand. That's why she did that.

i'm not saying to not post on social media about this kind of stuff at all. but there's a time and place for it. for instance, i'm gonna take a wild guess here and say you didn't post anything about it while you were at the morgue or whatever. stuff like that comes afterward. it shouldn't be something you are thinking about in the moment.

I don't know how soon she posted it after her miscarriage. Either way I don't think it really matters. She had already shared the journey of her pregnancy on social media. She had a tough time getting pregnant and she was having issues all throughout her pregnancy. Venting it on social media seemed to help her get through it all. She was open about all of this long before she had a miscarriage.

I just don't understand this mindset that it's too soon or that she should shut up about it or that it drastically changes because she spoke about it on social media. Having a miscarriage isn't something that has to be hidden. A lot of women already find that subject so difficult to talk about. There's no amount of time where she can sit in a room crying that makes it easier for her to process later. My wife read her story and cried. As did a lot of people.

Hell we have people who use this very board to grieve and process the fucked up tragedies that people go through. There's literally no reason to shame these people or act like they have a problem because they don't grieve the same way you do.
