47 y/o Trampy Heifer, Carrie Witt, a former Alabama Teacher and Cheerleading Coach argued that banning school staff from having SEX with STUDENTS younger than 19 was UNCONSTITUTIONAL and it was her RIGHT to have sex with her students....but now se admitted her guilt and plead GUILTY to sex with a 17 and 18 y/o.

She entered the guilty plea to one count of a school employee engaging in a sex act with a student and in exchange prosecutors agreed to drop a second charge

DA Courtney Schellack said "We're glad that it's resolved, that its' done. It's been a long process and we're just glad it's done for the community and the victims in the case"

She entered a "blind plea" with prosecutors reaching a sentencing agreement that will allow them to seek whatever sentence they see fit

She said "And in this case, we beleive that prison time is more than appropriate"

It could be up to 20 YEARS in prison and she will be required to register as a sex offender

She taught at Decatur High School when she was busted for sex with teens who were 17 and 18

In 2017, a judge dismissed the charges against her when lawyers argued tat a 2010 law that made it a felony for a school employee to have sex with a student under 19 was unconstitutional

She claimed it was consensual and that she was only prosectued for being a school employee which violated her 14th amendment right to privacy and equal protection

They said there was no proof she used her position to force the 2 senior students in sex as Alabama state law allows students to legally have sex at age 16 as long as someone doesn't use their position of authority

Would you ever accept a "blind plea" where you allow any sentence the prosecutors give to decide your fate?

It looks like both were above the age of consent in Alabama (16) so it's definitely unethical that she slept with students, but I don't see how it's illegal.

She's actually right on this one, they are using an obscure law because they couldn't use the actual consent law. Seems a bit sketch to me.

It's not an obscure law. She was in a position of power by virtue of being a teacher at a school that they attended. It wouldn't matter if they were specifically in her class or not, she still has authority over them.

The law is there specifically for that reason, to protect students from teachers who would loop-hope their way into taking advantage of students.

I have mixed feelings about these stories.

On one hand, at that age guys want to jump on a piece of ass and if they're too shy to approach girls their own age they will take what they can get.

On the other hand, these laws WERE designed with good intentions; to punish predatory behavior. Is her behavior inappropriate? All in all, yes. Was it predatory? That's impossible to say without getting inside her brain and knowing how she approached the situation.

Obviously she got a thrill out of a much younger partner; but at the same time I bet the guys got a thrill out of having sex, probably for the first time. It's hard to incriminate when you essentially have a win-win scenario, despite it being inappropriate.

At the end of the day it's really hard to approach this as a judge. I think some punishment should be due to discourage this particular behavior in the long term, possibly registering as an offender. But 20 years in jail? Nah, no way. Only if psychological damage to the young male can be proven should a length of jail time be considered.

Most likely; it was a mutually beneficial relationship so you can't in good consciousness apply a harsh legal punishment. Especially if protection was used.

Regardless, this is a really grey area she should have just avoided altogether..it's not professional at all. Instead, make a profile on a dating site and let everyone know you're a cougar. You'll get all kinds of guys in the 18-30 yr old range willing to have sex with you and at least 1 in 10 will be relatively attractive.

No, it isn't impossible to say. She's a fucking 47 year old woman. It was predatory to coerce her own 17 year old students into sex.

There is so much wrong with this post. This is not a win-win situation. At all.

This woman abused her position of power and negatively affected their education experience. A teacher is supposed to protect their students. Helping with learning, navigating problems in life, planning for the future, being someone to listen to when they are having struggles.

Introducing a personal relationship/physical relationship throws the whole thing into a spiral. It will fuck with with the boys mentally. Will they all be mentally scarred from this? Who knows. Will they all have the same extent of scars? No, but no victims will have the exact same. It doesn't matter. It's still abuse no matter what.

Do most teenagers, especially boys want sex? Yes. But teens, if they are going to be having sex, should be with their peers. NOT with someone abusing their position of authority and power. It's not mutually beneficial. It's a selfish act with no regard to the victims.

Not sure how it works in the US but over here in the UK the normal age of consent is 16 but gets raised to 18 if youre in a position of trust unless youre a teacher where you cant have sex with a student at all no matter how old they are even if youre teaching in college and university where you could possibly be the same age.
