Challaborough, Devon, the UK. I used to go there when I was younger, usually for a week. Beautiful beach, relatively clear water, lots of great surf, also boulders and rock formations to climb on. I remember seeing a topless woman sunbathing there, in plain sight, when I was in my early teens.

Malibu. Collected a shit ton of sea glass just casually walking people's "private" beaches. But it's cold on that side of the states. Destin, FL has beautiful sandy beaches, but not much in the way of shore collectibles.

Bora Bora, French Polynesian.

Although our room in Moorea, French Polynesia was better since we had an overwater bungalow.

Answers so far tend to gravitate toward exotic places.

For me though it was Point Pleasant, NJ. It's like a 20-30 minute drive away from Seaside where they filmed Jersey Shore, but it's a bit more quaint and a lot less "Jersey Shore-like." Usually whatever hotel you stay at owns the beach property so you can usually take coolers full of beer, liquor, whatever the hell you want to the beach as long as the motel allowed it. Every other beach I've gone to, that shit was against the rules and you had to hide your alcohol in an empty sunscreen bottle or eat ham soaked in rum like an episode of Always Sunny in Philly.

Some of the islands in the Mediterranean are alright.

I prefer the Virgin Islands though, warmer water, whiter sand, clearer water and a larger variety of marine life.

A beach on Culebra, an island some miles from Puerto Rico. It's as ridiculously scenic as a travel agency's photoshopped brochure.

The problem is, you have to go to Culebra to get there.

I live like two hours away from myrtle beach, so I have been there countless times growing up. Sometimes it was just to go fishing from the pier or boat with my dad and whatnot.
