I slowed down to 10 mph and when I got near they all scattered but the ones directly in front of my car acted like they were being chased and didnt try to move to the side or fly up or anything. Yeah they spend most of their time on a roadside waiting for a car to try and run in front of. I think that's 90% of a quails life.
