It's less energy efficient to consume. It's why human diets generally don't include predator species.
They're also harder to farm. They also work better for us in different roles like pest control, social working and companions since we need them to perform those tasks. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I don't think it's any more morally wrong to eat them compared to other species, but dog and cat are definitely not very tasty in comparison and more difficult/wasteful to farm. And many of the folks who do eat dogs tend to literally torture them because of a superstition that adrenaline impacts the meat. I think most people would prefer not tortured meat if they are concerned with ethics.
