That was really good, the right length it felt like, where as the wandavision credits rolled too quick

Also I haven't seen Wandavision yet, just got the entire season so now I'm saving it for a day to binge all the episodes over a weekend or so.

Tbh, that was a pretty good first episode. I like the low-key feel and dealing with the everyday/darker side of the heroes lives. That loan shit was fucked up and looks like we're gonna go through Bucky's trauma and healing, which looks interesting.

I liked it, the Falcon intro sequence was great. Even the drama stuff was well done. Not sure why I expected Marvel netflix or CW superhero quality.

Now I'm a bit more hyped for that Loki show.

Also why can't Sam ask Pepper for a small loan? Is he that proud?

Great first episode. Falcon's aerial battle at the start is impressive. It is actually better than a lot of hollywood action films. A hundred times better than WandaVision so far.

Really enjoyed that.

Maybe could have done with a double-bill to start with, since - aside from the opening with Falcon vs Batroc (which was great btw) - it was pretty much all set-up stuff, but it was very good set-up.

I wonder if they'll go the comics route and have Torres be the new Falcon if Sam takes on the Captain America mantle at the end of the series.

I enjoyed it a ton. It gave us some good character moments and really captured how the US treats veterans.

Falcon is completely broke, and discarded now that he's not really useful.

It's not very good mental health treatment, tbf. The fact he's spending so much time with a guy whose life he crippled by murdering his son can't be good for him, and his psychiatrist probably asked him to do that.

Anyway, I'm expecting the new Captain America to "secretly" be the Flag-smasher. Who, btw, is NOT a villain I thought we'd ever see in the MCU.

It's better mental health treatment than they give veterans. Also they're more than likely paying for his housing. Generally people don't pay you when you're brainwashed to do whatever they tell you. So I can't imagine he's using his own money to pay rent.

Meanwhile actual an actual War Hero is about to have his childhood home foreclosed.

And for what it's worth, Bucky probably would be entitled to 80 years of army back pay. The case could be made that he was a POW for that long.

Good start. If it increases in quality episode over episode like WandaVision did, then it'll be great. But I doubt that will track since WV started with the whole mystery angle.

I think it'll be solid on an episode-by-episode basis, but I bet WV will be better as a whole entity over this. Who knows though, we'll see.
