What do you guys think? I had the cord too close to a very hot device and accidentally melted part of it. Sucks because I just bought this toaster lol.

Is there wire exposed? Maybe just use electrician tape.

doesnt seem that way. and i should buy some electrical tape

confession: i just tried using it. it worked fine. but i kept a close eye on it, and i unplugged as soon as i was done.

Wrap some electrical tape around it just to be safe. It's just copper wire in there so you're fine.

If it had been been a multi wire plug you'd have to replace it.

No exposed conductor, and you only melted the one side: it's fine.

Wouldn't hurt to give it a wrap in electrical tape regardless.
This, there's no issue. It looks like a granite counter it sits on, no exposed wires, it just melted the plastic a bit. I don't even think you need to wrap it with electrical tape but you can if you want to.
