I played it 2 years ago and couldn't believe how amazing it was, especially considering the entire game was made by one single person. Music, level design, assets etc. All one person. Heavily inspired by Metroid, Blaster Master, Castlevania etc. Bloodstained in the most recent Metroidvania game I completed, which I also highly recommend. Having played countless other Metroidvanias, I went in pretty skeptical since Kickstarted funded games have been notoriously underwhelming. This game is the real deal though and is extremely fun and well made. TheGreatEscape 03/12/21 9:04:04 AM #17:	phoenotopia awakening came out recently and is pretty fun. it has some pretty janky combat but good puzzles and lots of hidden stuff monster sanctuary is another recent one that mixes turn based combat with platforming and monster catching. real cool the two guacamelee games are pretty fun too. alwa's legacy for a big retro vibe. simple but lot of fun Outbuddies was also a big trip, extremely retro looking but very original. it has some jank but it is a one man project --- The user formerly known as RogerHuxley <cite>TheGreatEscape posted [p:951629458] in Games like...
