I kinda pulled out after reaching Liyue because I'd fallen into the trap of playing every day just for the sake of dailies and hoping I pull a specific character I want, even when there are other games I'd rather be playing that day. The actual gameplay is kinda fun if you're willing to stick around for that, but just bear in mind that playing gacha games, especially as a free player, can very easily turn into a timesink that you're better off without. I'll probably get back into it one day, but I'll just have to learn to be happy with what I have in it already.

It's very Skinner box and loot box heavy.
Other than that, it's a worse Breath of the Wild that you can play with friends.
If you're planning on playing fully solo you'll probably get bored in a week or two as the story is incredibly cliche (story spoilers mc is from a parallel universe, has amnesia, looking for lost twin, and has a magical ability no one else in the world has for no reason )
Overall it's decently fun with good combat and a huge world to explore, but it didn't feel as rewarding to explore it for some reason.
All in all, if you want discount BotW with waifus then you'll enjoy it.

dont rush and just go at your own pace, using resources as they come in

almost every complaint I read is from people rushing through, be in end game or meta, and trying to punch above their weight when the system is built around starving those types of gamers in exchange for cash

Have fun getting Stonewalled after you get into it

You're far enough behind that the content wall wouldn't be an issue for a pretty good while. Just don't rush through everything and don't fall into the gacha trap.

I'll probably get back into it one day, but I'll just have to learn to be happy with what I have in it already.

Ultimately why I stopped playing. I was a green-eyed monster, seeing people playing with characters I was just not getting. (A 3rd Kaeya and still no Diluc? Thanks so much game!)

Don't know why people are hating so much. I haven't spent a dime and love it. The exploration is great. Character building is fun. The developer does constant updates.

I wouldn't necessarily say that I hate it, it's just that gacha games have a way of burning me out quicker than most other games. It's a very fun game for what it is.

Constant updates is pushing it. It gets one big update a month and as of right now every update could be done in like an hour.

It's a fine game. Eventually you will get to the point though where you just log in, do dailies, and wait for the next big update.

It's not bad. The fact you can climb things, and the way the elements work could keep you interested and having fun for some time.

It's a worst BotW, but you're not losing out on anything trying it out because it's free. If you like anime and waifu's... it might be up your alley because the majority of the people I know who still play it... play it for that reason. I just have a hard time supporting it because I'm not a fan of the gacha system... some of the worst predatory ways to make money.

Hopefully you can accumulate enough free primogems for the upcoming Venti banner. He's one of the most helpful 5 stars to have.

My cousin downloaded this last week or so. I've been playing it a decent amount.

You can earn primogems for summoning new characters for free by playing regularly. It just takes a while.

Food is very important. I felt like I'd been given tons and tons of food, but it ran out fairly quickly. So just be sure to keep a healthy supply of food cooked up.

Not sure I have any other tips, as I'm still not sure I really know enough to give them. The ones above are basic and pretty obvious, so, yeah.

I would advise not getting too involved with the community tbh. Just play the game at your own pace and have fun. I would look up some of the better 4* characters to use because the game is the most friendly to people who drop some money here and there. I would advise against spending primogems in the standard banner.

You will hopefully pick up a solid healing character or two that works well with your team, so that you don't have to carry as many healing items.

I think the community sometimes obsesses too much over what to prioritize with team building. Just play for fun and don't worry about it.

By the way you're probably going to hit a wall around AR45 or so. Don't sweat it. I'm at AR55 and there is literally nothing to do except dailies.

He's a healer, cleanses debuffs, and his ES has a really short cooldown which means lots of energy regen. He also boosts attack by 20. Overall he's one of the best supports in the game. You only really need to use talent books on his Burst so you can save a lot by investing in him.

It's fun.
I got Noelle and Fischl which as exciting but I think the most fun I've had is just exploring and doing lil out of the way puzzles.

Like in the city, if you hop on one of the Bannister there's a mini game where you just walk on the railing without fall and it was kinda neat lol

Yeah it's even better late game because this shit all dries up so when you finally find something you've missed the whole time you're like "OH SHIT I HAVEN'T SEEN THIS ONE YET"
