So is this movie not actually a sequel to A Few Dollars more, or did Lee Van Cleef just for no reason do a total 180 off screen?
Also how did Angel Eyes just randomly become an officer in the union army, lol. Also how did he get leave? Also what was with the random drunk Captain/bridge scene? The movie was long enough already and it didn't actually even end up being a parallel for the climax like I was expecting it to be. ... Copied to Clipboard!

The Man With No Name movies aren't connected like that. They all have the Eastwood Man With No Name character, but take place during different time periods (Fistful of Dollars - 1890s/around the turn of century, For A Few Dollars More- 1880s, and TGTBATU - Civil War). Cleef plays different characters. Always wondered about him being in the army as well. I guess he faked his way in or had some connections.

TGBU is definitely my favorite film of Leone's, while Once Upon a Time in the West was a close second. Once Upon a Time in America was a bit much for me, but I appreciated it more on a separate viewing (non-truncated version).

Cleef playing two separate characters still isn't as weird as them using the same actor to play two separate main villains in Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More, at least imo.

Heh, I had this problem too when it first dawned on me 'wait...wait, that's the same damn guy as the first movie,' but for some reason the actor credits were different when I went digging. IMDB now credits him in Fistful of Dollars as Gian Maria Volonte: Ramon (as John Wells), which as DeadBankerDream said might have been his dub actor (Gian learned his lines in English for A Few Dollars More). --- Simple questions deserve long-winded answers that no one will bother to read. ...
