Yeah thats what I meant. Like. Idk. The only thing I think was totally relevant to the overall universe was the one episode showing people re-materializing from the snap and kind of dealing with getting back to normal from it

At least with Falcon and Winter Soldier theyll be re-introducing Baron Zemo as a villain which is cool. Other shows seem to be introducing new people to the overall plot. I just dont see what the point of Wandavision is unless any of these new people are going to be plot-relevant in the future

Like I'm not sure the question you're asking here.

The series was about two things:

1) The message that no amount of power can overcome grief. Only time can.

2) It gives a much-deserved embellishing of Wanda's character. Don't forget that her movies were Age of Ultron, Civil War, and Infinity War, in which she had character moments in maybe 5% of each. This series connects the dots and gives her a path forward, even if it will be just another 5% in another future film.

the series is also introducing elements that will ultimately affect the rest of the universe, and I think it's a good way to add them without having to wait for a movie to do so

Episode 3 I was like ok the childbirth thing was >_> but THIS IS STILL GREAT
Episode 4 I was like WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING NOBODY CARES ABOUT THE DANG NERD CHICK FROM THOR
Episode 5, I mean, I watched it just in case but 4 had already killed the whole show for me so that was my last episode.

Yeah, so I'm not going to go in expecting any huge IW/Endgame style cameos or twists, no huge hero cameos, no "House of M" style stuff, no secret Ultron crap, etc

I'm still holding for an explanation regarding a certain character, or at the very least some more context. >_> but we'll see how that goes.

Can't watch til this evening. Hopefully I'll enjoy it.

I think what I was asking was generally how is this supposed be plot-relevant to the rest of the universe, but youre right in that we really didnt get much at all from Wanda in the previous movies. And that this will give her a path forward. Im gonna watch the finale on my lunch break and make some observation then

Well yeah, I was under no delusion that they wouldn't screw it up eventually. But this doesn't change the fact that they did.

And plus, I can spend about thirty seconds writing in an explanation that doesn't require a whole episode of nerd Thor chick and multiverse crap and evil Wanda.

Well, duh.

But it was better than the purpose of the show, is what I'm saying.

It's great from the perspective of developing Wanda as a character, but really doesn't expand the MCU in the way I think most people were hoping for. Not yet at least. Still remains to be seen what happens in No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness.

Yeah I can. They just screwed it up early on.

It was enjoyable, for sure. Just kind of felt a bit lackluster. Didn't really have have any truly impressive moments like one would expect of the finale, outside of maybe a single scene anyway.

Expect: like I mentioned, I knew they were going to screw it up. But for those first few episodes, it was great.

Want: 1) name me literally any idea better than Vision in a show that celebrates a different decade of sitcoms every episode. 2) because they've been saving the world from high drama circumstances two or three times a year since 2008, and something a little different would be fun?

Honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised they even pushed the boat out that far

The ending was fine. Some earlier episodes were the highlight but I enjoyed the ending. Liked but not loved.

Overall a top 10 MCU experience.

Not a big marvel fan I watched all the episodes yesterday and the finale today. Typical marvel stuff if you enjoy the movies I guess you'll like this.

They definitely should've released the whole show at once rather than try to force this weekly drop nonsense in an attempt to hide the lack of content on the service. Each episode (until this last one) left you with more questions than answers, and it really hurt the experience to have to wait a week between those "What the fuck is going on even?!?!" moments.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier will probably be fine since that's supposed to just be some buddy cop thing, but Loki is probably gonna be similar to this in that you're going to be waiting quite a while for any real answers.

if you remember this was supposed to come out like a year ago if not for covid and none of those fan theories fit with the marvel timeline, good enough. I feel the first half of the season was much more interesting than the 2nd half of the season when it begins to feel more like a standard marvel movie split up into episodes.
