I do agree with this.

Biden is a weak candidate and if Trump didn't shit the bed with Covid Biden would not have won.

That being said, I don't know how effective Bernie's America would really be based on what he promised.

That was an impromptu way to say being a successful multi-campaign winning senator means you're wrong. Losing a primary in 2nd place just shows he's not as good of a schemer as Biden and associates.

Not even close

Bernie can't even rally his own party and would be torn apart by the right

Biden was a former VP, lifelong political servant with no real controversies, hugely popular among Dems, Moderates and conservatives who aren't Republican

Also the older population who vote.

There's a reason why Biden got more votes than anyone else in history and turned Georgia blue

There's a reason Trump was shit scared of Biden but really really really really wanted the Dem nomination to be Sanders.

Biden would have won in 2016 if he ran.

Crazy to think of the butterfly effect of Beau dying was Trump's presidency.

This whole myth of Biden being a weak candidate and Sanders being a powerhouse is a really dumb meme that shows a complete (probably intentional) lack of understanding of basic facts and history.

Other candidates pulled out and endorsed Biden.

Sanders fans insist they did this intentionally because they would have split Bidens vote where as Bernie's support base is rabid. Basically intentionally fucking Bernie over by giving Dems less options.

There is no evidence to support this though.

In 2020 COVID completely killed Bernies momentum and without being able to do stuff like throw rallies, he couldnt get any momentum back. And Bernie was considered unlikely to win before all that. Also 1/2 the field giving up and endorsing Biden had to have done plenty too.

you could maybe argue 2016, since Clinton ran a very weak campaign, and Sanders had the same we need real change outlook trump was pushing, but even then Id say its still a stretch. Being a democrat also meant Bernie wouldnt have the cult-like support Trump did and so probably wouldnt be nearly as successful.

The main reason the Dems lost in 2016 was because third parties drained enough votes away from Hillary to hand the election to Trump. If they had run someone other than Hillary, the attacks would not have stuck. We saw that Biden didn't face any of the same image problems that Hillary did, as none of the conspiracy BS really stuck with him. So yeah, I think that damn near anyone else would have beaten Trump.

She already beat trump by 3 million votes. how many votes did she need to win by to make it stick? 4 million? 5 million? 6?
its pretty absurd when you can win more votes and still lose an election.

he is a terrible politician because he actually cares about the working class and isn't lying to his teeth to get votes?

Dude also raised the most from grassroots than any other politician. if the DNC didn't fuck him over and clearly stage support for biden by dropping the other candidates and supporting him, there was a good chance he would have won.

The DNC campaigned against Bernie in 2016 in a really gross way... but it didn't change the outcome.

As for 2020... the DNC had nothing to do with it. The moderate wing of the party coordinated a mass drop-out so that Biden would have a big enough coalition to overtake Bernie. This most likely swung the outcome, and while it may have been a disappointing turn of events for some, it was absolutely fair.

He was going to lose 2016 no matter what.

He might have won 2020 if a ton of prominent Democrats didn't all randomly endorse Biden (who was previously getting thrashed in 3rd place) in the same week, but that has nothing to do with the DNC.

I don't see any outcome where Bernie could have won in 2016 if the DNC hadn't been in cahoots with Hillary, but they obviously were and shouldn't have been.

I don't really see any issues in 2020. I don't understand the criticism that candidates dropping out and endorsing another candidate is somehow dirty tactics or rigging. It's the intelligent thing to do. Warren staying in does seem suspicious at its face, but nothing beyond something that makes me raise my eyebrows. Dropping out and endorsing someone is probably difficult after you pathetically tried to label them a sexist to steal their voters.
