So not every teen that says "I love you" is really in love, but that doesn't mean that it can't happen. But I know that some people very adamantly believe that teens can't experience true love. I remember when I was in 10th grade, 2 of my classmates were gossiping and saying I was in love with this girl (I only said she was cute) and the girl's older sister heard them say that. She blew up at me, saying "you're too young to understand what love is" and that I shouldn't go around saying that I love someone, until I'm older... Most people, myself included so I might be projecting a bit, need to fall in and out of love a few times to refine what is and isn't love.
