Ok but... what about it do they "reject?"

Hasbro decided to make Potato Head, publishers decide which books they want to sell, etc.

It doesn't make any sense.

Do they think the DNC called up Hasbro to complain?

Is it about professors and actors getting fired over racists/sexist posts?

I think they're confused.

It's understandable, "cancel culture" and "consequences" have the same syllables and sound a little alike.

They're just not used to getting called on their bullshit.

Isn't cancelling someone just posting shit about them on social media?

I thought that Republicans thought that was okay?

I'm legitimately confused.

Didn't they cancel Mike Pence?

Tell that to One Million Moms. That group's job is cancel culture. They are far right conservatives.

There's definitely an issue with it, but they're going a few steps too far and combining it with several unrelated into a giant boogeyman at which they can cast blame.

no, it isn't. it's ostracizing something controversial they did and ruining their reputation because of it.

when they are personally, negatively affected by it. Canceling something that GOP finds uncouth is not cancel culture, it's "doing the right thing"

But dissonance is par for the course. get it, because golf, lmao

they're just simple minded and cancel culture is the newest buzz word they use to get votes from people who can't process complex thoughts while not having to do anything outside of crying on twitter about it.

Another thing is they don't know what "cancel culture" actually is. They think it's just simply people disagreeing with you.

Real cancel culture is digging up a racist post on twitter that a 30 year-old posted when they were 14 to get them fired from work.

These people complaining about it think cancel culture is Billy bob getting fired for streaming racist rants last Tuesday.

Republicans love cancel culture.

When they're the boss.

At-will employment states. You can be fired for any reason. Many of them even argue that should apply to even gay employees or minorities. Why? Because that's what the boss wants. His company, his rules.

(Libertarians too love that)

How they square that: employees can be fired at any moment for any reason... but not a client/customer/user seems contradictory.

Until you realize they like to imagine conservative males would largely be immune to it.

they also have been canceling people since the 80s. And those they havent canceled theyve tried to cancel like Harry Potter and those stupid attempts.

That's why they hate "cancel culture"

Conservatives love cancelling people (hell they're trying to make Liz Cheney lose her seat just because she voted to impeach Trump). They just don't like it when one of their own or someone that believes in something they believe in are a target.
